SURVEY DESIGN

TELEPHONE SURVEYS
- The SRC Telephone Center uses Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) software & a trained team of interviewers to perform high-quality telephone surveys.
- Software guides interviewers through questions that help maintain an accurate & smooth process.
- Interviewers follow strict protocols for conducting interviews, tracking respondents, & converting refusals to completed interviews which are all taught during the interviewer training process.
MAIL SURVEYS
- We design, print, & scan self-administered surveys.
- Data can be collected by the client or us.
- We provide cost-effective envelope stuffing, mailing, and survey receiving services.
- We can facilitate each step of the process including subject recruitment, pre-notification mailings, reminder postcards, and follow-up mailings.
WEB SURVEYS
- Cost-effective.
- We consult on research strategies, questionnaire design, programming, & data management.
- Written using Qualtrics or REDCap creating customized survey instruments for each client.
- We host surveys on our secure server, send follow-up emails to respondents, & allow clients access to instant response information via web portal.
FIELD SURVEYS
- Experienced staff trained in face-to-face data collection which relies on interview & protocol design, staff selection & training, management of scheduling, interviewer accountability, & interview quality.
- Extensive training allows for optimum response rates & neutral data collection in all settings.
- Variety of survey modes or combining several modes available for maximum response.
FOCUS GROUPS
- The SRC provides a full range of focus group services, including question route development, moderator guidelines, recruiting participants, obtaining the site, moderating the session, note-taking, & transcription.
MULTIMODE PROJECTS
- Many projects require multi-modal approaches including telephone, self-administered & mail, face-to-face, & internet surveys, as well as focus groups.
- We are trained in the management & compiling of these approaches.
- This tactic is necessary for certain types of target audiences, personnel limitations, or required response rates.
TRACE
- The TRACE program includes a range of methods to assess ongoing behavior, experiences, physiology, & environmental factors in individual's natural settings.
- Methodologies include (but are not limited to) ecological momentary assessment, experience sampling, daily diary techniques, ambulatory monitoring of physiologic function, physical activity and/or movement monitoring, and the assessment of ambient environmental parameters.
